Remember that all Spanish nouns have gender and the articles must agree in gender with the noun. EL LIBRO (the book), UNA LIBRA (a pound).
Also, they must agree in NUMBER. LOS LIBROS (the books, UNAS LIBRAS (some, or a few, pounds).
